Well, I’ve made it to 365 days, but with a huge fail in the end.  However, it’s only a fail in keeping track of the gigs I’ve done in the last month.  In actuality, I’ve been too busy performing to write!  This is a lame excuse, I know, but my goal of performing every day for a year sort of worked.  I am glad I tried to do it, and I will probably keep on the blog writing for its own sake, but I am breathing a sigh of relief that it is off my back.  Thanks to everyone this year that gave me gigs and made this happen!

Cool, two days in a row for the blog.  Gotta start the habit again.

Played in an Oakland Symphony Orchestra rehearsal tonight.  Big orchestra, small stage, basically means that the basses are in the way of the brass section.  I feel bad for them, especially because the Janacek is hard to follow.  Sorry everyone!

I have to admit, my performance of this music could be more thoroughly researched.  Maybe a little breakfast music before rehearsal tomorrow.  I have no doubt that I’ll be ready for the concert on Sunday, but it requires a little more focus.

The Janacek is very quirky.

As my buddy Mike Gurfield says, Le Sigh…

Some performances here.  The performance on the test was ok, but I don’t know the results for a while.  Also teaching and rehearsals.  Maybe more time for posts soon?

On factor that adds to the business is the new house.  Jenine and I love it, but it adds another factor onto our “to do” list.  That’s cool, though.  It’s really a great place.
